Pokémon

Chikorita

Chikorita, as you probably already know, it coming back from Melee. It first appeared as the Grass starter in Pokémon Gold, Pokémon Silver, and Pokémon Crystal. Chikorita’s only attack in this game is standing in one place and, as you guessed, using razor leaf. But hey, with Brawl the leaves look more real! Look at those realistic movements! (Pic Below) With Chikorita back, that means that they’ll hopefully keep some other cool Pokémon from Melee, and possibly from the 64 smash bros.

Goldeen

Ahhhhhh… Goldeen. Where should I start? Ah, yes. Goldeen first appeared in Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue, and Pokémon Yellow. Goldeen is a fish Pokémon. See that horn on Goldeen? You might as well snap it off, ‘cause she doesn’t use it. Yep, in all three Smash Bros. games, Goldeen is the useless Pokémon. She does absolutely nothing. She just uses splash attack, which makes the opponent wet. Haha! That’ll put a damper in your plans. (No pun intended) Brawl may be a game about fighting, but Goldeen is all about splashing.

Groudon

Groudon, yes, the exclusive Pokémon in Pokémon Ruby, also catchable in Pokémon Emerald. Groudon is a new Pokémon in Brawl. It’s here, and it’s here to stay. Literally, it doesn’t move from his spot when released from its Poké ball. It quickly damages any player who happens to wander by at the time. The cool thing is, it’s literally on fire! (No pun intended) As the first revealed Pokémon in Brawl, Groudon feels honored. I think.

Deoxys

You may remember going to a Nintendo event to get this Pokémon in your Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald Pokémon game, this was a very tricky pokémon to get. Anyway, Deoxys is coming to Brawl, in its attack form. First, you release it, it then spins around, and goes up into the air. Then it unleashes Hyper Beam! Look at that blast! Players will loathe the site of Deoxys after this...
